A 23-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the GNR on August 25th, in Ericeira, in the municipality of Mafra, on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrest was carried out by military personnel from the Ericeira Territorial Post, belonging to the Lisbon Territorial Command, during a patrol and road traffic enforcement operation.
During the operation, the military personnel approached and inspected a bicycle and conducted a personal security search on the suspect. During the search, 57 doses of hashish, 0.3 doses of cannabis and 205 euros in cash were seized.
The authorities also seized a mobile phone and various containers used to store narcotic substances. The man was made a defendant and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of the District of Lisbon West – Mafra, where the case will follow legal proceedings.
