The city of Viseu now offers free public transport for its residents starting today. The measure was announced by the municipality and represents a significant change in the region's urban mobility.
The initiative aims to complement other national measures already in force, namely the free public transport for young people up to 23 years of age. In this way, Viseu extends access to transport for a wider segment of the resident population.
The measure covers three transport operators: MUV, STUV and MOBI Viseu Dão Lafões. These services become free exclusively for residents in the municipality of Viseu, according to the conditions defined by the local authority.
