The Portuguese Government will channel 4.5 million euros from the Environmental Fund to support farmers and forest producers with carbon sequestration projects. This funding is intended to finance interventions that promote soil conservation, agroforestry practices and forest maintenance. The supported projects aim to contribute to carbon sequestration and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. This measure is part of a broader strategy to combat climate change through the promotion of sustainable practices in agriculture and forest management.
