Amazon is being sued in the United States by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and by 22 state attorneys general, who accuse the company of manipulation in digital advertising auctions.
Authorities allege that Amazon secretly replaced advertising auction results with higher prices set by the company itself, operating without the knowledge of more than one million advertisers who used the platform.
The lawsuit claims that the tech giant billed approximately 20 billion dollars through this alleged fraudulent practice in advertising auctions.
This is one of the largest antitrust lawsuits ever filed against a technology company in the United States, representing a significant challenge to Amazon's business model in the digital advertising sector.
