Postpartum psychosis

SIC Notícias31 August 2026 at 18:23

Postpartum psychosis is a condition that affects a significant number of women after childbirth. It is estimated that 3 in 10 women develop mental health symptoms during pregnancy or in the postpartum period, which demonstrates the prevalence of this health issue.

Childbirth represents an event with an enormous physical and psychological impact on women. This recovery period is particularly challenging, as it coincides with the need to care for a totally dependent baby.

The combination of the mother's physical and emotional recovery and the demands of caring for the newborn creates a phase of significant vulnerability for female mental health.

Bioremodeling is a facial treatment that improves skin quality without altering the face contours, unlike procedures such as fillers. The concept is based on the ability to promote tissue remodeling through cellular and biochemical stimuli, using substances such as hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the body and participates in processes that support tissues, helping to maintain firmness, elasticity, and skin hydration.
