The president of the Assembly of the Republic, Aguiar-Branco, will be in the Azores between Wednesday and Friday to participate in the celebrations of the 50 years of regional autonomy.
During the visit, the president of the Assembly of the Republic will stop at the island of Pico and the island of Faial, both located in the Azores archipelago.
A solemn session is also planned at the Legislative Assembly of the Azores, where Aguiar-Branco is expected to address the regional deputies.
The trip is part of the celebrations of the quinquennium of the political autonomy of the Azores, which grants the region the status of administrative and political autonomy within Portugal.
