BE/Açores questions executive about energy consumption of Google data center

BE/Açores questioned the Regional Government of the Azores, formed by the PSD/CDS-PP/PPM coalition, about the energy consumption impact of installing a Google data center on the island of São Miguel.

According to a statement from the leftist party, specialized sources in the sector indicate that Google's data center, which will be built in the Lagoa Technopark, will have significant energy consumption.

This is not the first time that BE/Açores has raised concerns about the project. The party has been expressing doubts regarding the environmental and energy impact of this infrastructure on the region.
