The creation of a Large Business Reception Area in the Interior of Alentejo is confirmed, but its location will be decided by the Government after technical studies are carried out by the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of Alentejo. This position was conveyed this Sunday in Estremoz by the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, who set aside the possibility of the decision being made based on exclusively political criteria.
The minister emphasized that the choice of location must follow objective technical criteria, thus rejecting the idea that the decision could be made based on merely political considerations. This position comes in a context of debate about the territorial distribution of investments in the Interior of Alentejo.
The CCDR of Alentejo will be responsible for preparing the technical studies that will underpin the Government's final decision regarding the location of this business infrastructure. The minister emphasized the importance of basing the choice on concrete data and analyses, thus guaranteeing a well-founded and transparent decision for the economic development of the interior region of Alentejo.
