The Vila Nova de Gaia City Council approved a protocol with the Porto City Council regarding a platform for registering heavy vehicle circulation on the Via de Cintura Interna. The agreement establishes a monitoring and registration system to control the circulation of these vehicles on the VCI.
From September 15, heavy vehicles will be restricted on this road, which is one of the main road arteries of the Porto metropolitan area. The platform aims to regulate and monitor the traffic of these vehicles on the road.
The protocol between the two municipalities establishes cooperation between Gaia and Porto for the implementation of this control system, demonstrating collaboration between the two councils in managing traffic on a road that crosses both municipalities.
