Minister José Antonio Dias Toffoli, of the Superior Electoral Court, suspended the campaign of Renan Santos for the presidency of Brazil. The decision covered the use of party funds, participation in electoral debates, and any presence on the internet.
The suspension was motivated by the fact that Renan did not inform, at the time of registering his candidacy, the social media profiles used by the campaign. This omission was considered an irregularity by the court.
With the decision, Renan Santos' campaign is prevented from using public resources for its communication, cannot participate in electoral debates, and is off all online platforms until the situation is regularized.
