Ana Rosa returns to Telecinco with a harsh attack on Pedro Sánchez: "Mermaid president, in shorts and flip-flops"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General31 August 2026 at 10:06

Ana Rosa Quintana returned to Telecinco to start the new season of the show 'El programa de Ana Rosa', but not from the usual studio. The journalist is in Ceuta, the city where she had already traveled in early August, when she interrupted her vacation due to the migration crisis that affected the Spanish enclave.

In her first editorial of the season, Ana Rosa Quintana launched a strong attack against the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, and against several of his ministers. The title of her commentary included references to the president's summer clothes, describing him as "Mermaid president, in swimming trunks and flip-flops".

The presenter took advantage of her position in Ceuta, where she had already been during the migration crisis, to make these political criticisms at the beginning of the new season of her show on Telecinco.
