The Italian Ministry of the Interior announced the extension for another 15 days of the Schengen suspension with Madrid. The decision was made after Minister Piantedosi considered that the situation in Ceuta remains tense. Piantedosi stated that the situation in Ceuta is "far from getting better". This measure represents an extension of the border blockade already implemented previously between the two countries.
