The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere forecasts for today, the last day of August, cloudy weather in the Madeira archipelago. The sky should be generally very cloudy, although a gradual decrease in cloudiness is expected from mid-morning, especially on the southern slope of the island.
Regarding precipitation, periods of light rain or light showers are forecast until the end of the morning, mainly concentrated on the northern slope and the highlands of the island of Madeira.
Regarding the wind, IPMA indicates that it will blow light to moderate, between 10 to 30 kilometers per hour, from the northeast direction. At the ends of the island, the wind may occasionally reach strong gusts, up to 40 kilometers per hour.
