The president of the Coimbra City Council, Ana Abrunhosa, was in Rio de Janeiro last Friday, August 28, to participate as a speaker at CIMI360 – International Real Estate Market Congress. During her address, Abrunhosa defended that the management of public heritage must take on a strategic role in the preparation and response of cities to crisis and calamity situations.
At the event, the mayor also signed an agreement under the CIMI360 framework, strengthening cooperation between Coimbra and other entities participating in the congress. The congress was held in Rio de Janeiro and brought together professionals and managers from the real estate sector from different countries.
Ana Abrunhosa emphasized the importance of considering public heritage as a fundamental instrument for urban resilience, that is, for the capacity of cities to face and recover from emergency situations. This approach is part of a broader reflection on the role of local authorities in crisis management.
