Throughout the 4,020 kilometers of competition, Lucas and Kaíque achieved six wins in eight specials and two second places, finishing with a cumulative time of 36h10min11s and a lead of over 26 minutes over their opponents.

Fernando Pimenta is world champion in K1 5000 meters

Portuguese canoeist Fernando Pimenta won the world championship title in K1 5000 meters at the Worlds in Poznan, Poland, with a time of 24 minutes, 15.72 seconds, defeating South African Hamish Lovemore and Danish Mads Pedersen.
