A ferry with approximately 270 passengers on board capsized off the coast of Northern Cyprus. The accident occurred in waters near the northern Cypriot territory, generating a maritime emergency situation.
A rescue operation is currently underway to save the passengers and crew of the ferry. Local authorities have mobilized emergency resources to assist the people on board.
According to initial reports, around a hundred people have already been successfully evacuated during the rescue operation. Authorities continue to work to rescue the remaining passengers.
