A baby was born inside an ambulance of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Monforte, last Friday, during the transport of a pregnant woman to the Hospital do Espírito Santo in Évora.
The birth occurred when the firefighters were transporting the pregnant woman to the hospital unit in Évora.
The team from the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Monforte had to deliver the baby inside the ambulance during the journey.
The baby and the mother were subsequently referred to the Hospital do Espírito Santo in Évora, where they would have received the appropriate medical care.
