Special correspondents Diogo Carreira and Miguel Linares are in Nepal, continuing to follow the rescue operations on the ground after flash floods that left a trail of mud and debris in the streets of the country.
The flash floods caused significant destruction, with several areas remaining completely isolated due to bridge collapses and road destruction, which is preventing military forces from reaching the most affected areas.
The humanitarian situation is serious, with people without access to food and an evident lack of medicines in the affected areas. The destruction of road infrastructure severely hampers relief efforts and aid distribution.
