Guarda, Fornos and Sp. Covilhã play first round of Taça de Portugal

Guarda FC, AD Fornos de Algodres and Sporting da Covilhã play this Sunday afternoon the first round of the Taça de Portugal in football. These three teams from the Guarda region enter the competition at this initial phase of the tournament.

Guarda FC, a team competing in the Campeonato de Portugal, will travel to Fundão to face the local Académico. Fundão's team competes in the Castelo Branco District Championship, a division below the Guarda side.

AD Fornos de Algodres, representing the Guarda District Championship, hosts their opponents at home also this Sunday. Sporting da Covilhã completes the trio of teams from the region participating in this first round of the Taça de Portugal.
