Benfica lost this Sunday, 3-2, against Palma, in the second game of the Record International Masters Futsal, a pre-season tournament. The Spanish side, Champions League finalist, started the match better and quickly created a two-goal advantage. Alisson opened the scoring at seven minutes, before Carlos Gómez increased the difference at 11 minutes.
Benfica reacted in the second half and reduced the deficit through Arthur at 22 minutes. However, the Spanish side's response was immediate, with Charuto restoring Palma's two-goal advantage just one minute later.
The eagles still tried to react to the result. Kutchy, at 24 minutes, made it 3-2 and revived the match, but the red and white side couldn't find another equaliser until the final whistle.
The result comes after an excellent start by Benfica in the competition. On Saturday, the eagles had beaten Jimbee Cartagena, thus achieving a victory in the first round of the tournament.
