In the interview conducted by Jornal Nacional this Saturday (29), presidential candidate Augusto Cury, from the Avante party, presented his proposals for various areas. In the area of health, the candidate advocated that 80% of basic SUS consultations be conducted through teleconsultation, keeping in-person care only for more complex cases. Cury was previously a partner in a telemedicine company, but denied that this constitutes a conflict of interest in his proposal.
In education, Cury stated that he does not intend to sell the teaching method he developed to the public school system. His proposal is to make this methodology available for free and create 10,000 schools focused on entrepreneurship. The candidate also mentioned proposals in the areas of security and public accounts during the interview.
In the economic area, Augusto Cury said he intends to reduce public debt by cutting up to ten ministries, although he did not specify which departments could be eliminated. He also promised to review 50,000 appointed positions and government contracts through an audit in the public administration.
