Municipality of Guarda to identify those responsible for litter left on public roads

The Municipality of Guarda is intensifying inspection actions regarding the improper disposal of litter on public roads and near ecopoints. The objective is to identify those responsible for these illicit behaviors.

The mayor of Guarda, Sérgio Costa, warned the residents to adopt responsible behavior. According to the mayor, placing boxes, cards, packaging or other waste on the ground constitutes an unacceptable practice.

The municipal authorities intend to combat the problem of litter abandoned in the streets and near ecopoints, using stricter inspection measures to hold those who dispose of waste inappropriately accountable.
