Iceland says "no" to EU entry, state television reports

Icelanders were called to participate in a referendum on whether the country should resume negotiations to join the European Union. According to Icelandic state television RÚV, the "no" option ended up winning the vote. The referendum result thus rejects the possibility of Iceland moving forward with the process of integration into the European Union.
