Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro rejects complaint against Crivella in QG da Propina case

The Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro rejected the complaint against former mayor and current Federal Deputy Marcelo Crivella in the case known as the "Bribe Headquarters." The ruling was decided by 4 votes to 3, with the decisive vote cast by the president of the TRE-RJ, Judge Cláudio de Mello Tavares, who stated there was insufficient evidence to incriminate Crivella, highlighting that the testimony of a single collaborator is not enough to proceed with the complaint. With this decision, Crivella is free to continue his candidacy for the Senate under the Republicanos party.
