Serious accident in Belo Horizonte closes main access to Confins airport

A tanker truck overturned and caught fire in the early morning of this Thursday (27th) on MG-010, completely blocking the main access to Belo Horizonte's international airport in Confins. The accident occurred around 4:45 AM at the height of Vespasiano, in the metropolitan region, in the direction of Confins. The 49-year-old driver died charred. The airport concessionaire recommends that passengers with scheduled flights leave early and use the detour via MG-424 with access to LMG-800, passing through São José da Lapa. The Fire Department controlled the fire after about two hours.
A nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The PSP is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no further details yet about what caused the fall.
