Miguel Sampaio, from Braga, Manuel Andrade, from Cabreiros, and Father Adão are undertaking a walk from Braga to the Sanctuary of Fatima. The three pilgrims began this journey with the objective of asking for the recovery of Fernando Jorge.
The walkers are expected to arrive at the Sanctuary of Fatima this Tuesday, September 15th. The journey represents a proof of faith and solidarity towards Fernando Jorge, whose health situation motivated this pilgrimage.
Along the route, the three participants continue on foot through Portuguese territory, crossing several towns until reaching the final destination at the Marian sanctuary. The tradition of walking pilgrimages to Fatima is common in Portugal, frequently associated with vows or requests for health.
