A fire broke out in Cedães at 2:11 PM and mobilized a total of 122 operatives, supported by 37 vehicles and three aerial resources, according to Noel Afonso, sub-regional commander of Terras de Trás-os-Montes. The fire is consuming vegetation in an area of sloping terrain and steep valley, which has hindered combat operations.
To reinforce available resources, two more aircraft and tracked vehicles are expected to assist in fighting the flames. The situation was considered "more stabilized" since the fire started, although weather conditions continue to be challenging.
