Jordan Kinard, 29, died in a car accident on Saturday afternoon while heading to the church where he was to get married. The accident occurred on a wooded stretch between Ochamps and Recogne, in the province of Luxembourg, in Belgium, around 1:30 PM. The vehicle left the road and there are reports that it may have hit a tree upon entering the wooded area. Family members and guests were waiting for the ceremony at the church when they received the news of the tragedy.
The car was being driven by the bride's brother, Pauline, who was also to be Jordan's best man at the wedding. Pauline was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital. According to police, no other vehicle was involved in the collision, and authorities are still investigating the circumstances that caused the car to leave the road.
Jordan and Pauline had already formalized their civil union just over a month before the accident, at the town hall of Libramont. The two were partners in a real estate agency founded in 2022, and Jordan also sponsored youth teams of the football club RSC Habay. The wedding, which was to take place that day, was interrupted by the tragedy.
