The documentary "Naza", directed by Israeli filmmakers Rachel Szor and Yuval Abraham, was one of the sensations of the Venice Film Festival. The film received more than 25 minutes of applause from the audience and won the Special Jury Prize in the competition. Now, the feature film has a confirmed release date in Brazil: it arrives in the country on October 1st, distributed by Vitrine Filmes.
The documentary is the result of a three-year investigation and denounces the systems used by Israeli forces in military operations in Gaza. The work gathers 24 anonymous testimonies from military and intelligence personnel who reveal details about the methods employed during the conflicts.
In one of the testimonies in the film, a source claims to have been authorized to kill 500 people classified by the "Naza" system to eliminate a single Hamas member. The term "Naza" derives from "Nezek Agavi", a Hebrew expression.
