Six infractions were recorded in the first hours of the new truck regime on the VCI. The Via de Cintura Interna, in Porto, implemented new rules for the circulation of heavy vehicles, and authorities began enforcing compliance with this regulation from its first moment of effect.
The PSP is in charge of enforcing this new regime. According to Marco Almeida, the police are focused on helping and clarifying some doubts of drivers regarding the new circulation rules for trucks on the VCI.
The new regime aims to regulate the traffic of heavy vehicles on this important urban route in the city of Porto. The implementation is being accompanied by educational efforts on the part of authorities, to ensure that drivers understand the new requirements.
