Expenses related to back-to-school increased for more than 80% of Portuguese families, according to a study conducted by IPAM (Instituto Português de Administração e Marketing). The study reveals that the average expense per child is estimated at 179 euros, although there are significant variations among different families.
The study data shows that 43% of families plan to spend between 100 and 249 euros per child. This range represents the majority of family budgets allocated for back-to-school.
Furthermore, 18% of Portuguese families anticipate an expense below 50 euros, indicating a more economical approach. On the other hand, 9% of families anticipate expenses equal to or greater than 400 euros, revealing a considerable disparity in budgets allocated for the school year.
