The Federation of Public Administration Trade Unions (Fesap) defends that the value of €1030 proposed as minimum salary for public employees in 2027 would be insufficient. José Abraão, in public statements, argued that this value would be "insufficient" to meet the needs of workers.
The official highlighted that the pluriannual agreement for the valorization of public administration workers, which was reinforced last year, represents only an agreement of "minimums". According to this position, the agreement defines the minimum acceptable threshold, but does not resolve the broader claims of public employees.
Fesap understands that the salary base of public administration workers must continue to be increased beyond the values provided in the current agreement. This position arises in the context of salary negotiations between the government and public sector unions.
