Trucks without destination to the cities of Porto and Gaia are prohibited from circulating on the VCI (Via de Cintura Interna), according to a measure announced that aims to relieve traffic on these urban roads.
The prohibition applies to goods vehicles with gross weight exceeding 3,500 kilograms, that is, heavy goods transport vehicles.
Civil Protection also anticipates much work in combating the fire ongoing in Proença-a-Nova, indicating that the firefighting operations will continue to require significant resources.
