The Move Brasil program, created by Provisional Measure, became permanent starting this Monday with the sanction of a law by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The program offers special financing conditions for app drivers, taxi drivers, and app delivery workers to purchase cars, motorcycles (flex and electric) and electric bicycles.
One of the main novelties is the expansion of the favored group. The law now covers school transport and cargo transport professionals, who were previously not included in the program.
Another significant change reduced the time requirement for participation. Now, drivers registered for six months and who have completed at least one hundred rides on the same app during that period can participate, whereas previously one year of experience was required.
The law sanctioned by Lula also included utility vehicles and adaptations for drivers with disabilities, further expanding the program's reach.
