The father of the 15-year-old teenager, accused of killing his own mother in Algés, began to be tried this Tuesday, October 15th, for domestic violence. The young man has been separated from his father since the age of 7 and was under the custody of the mother, who was found dead in circumstances that are still being investigated.
The father's trial takes place in a Lisbon court and focuses on the alleged physical and psychological aggression committed against the son over the years. Authorities believe that the domestic violence environment may have influenced the teenager's behavior.
