The Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio and the Special Stadium Policing Battalion of the Military Police requested facial biometrics images from Maracanã stadium to identify the fighters from the organized fan groups Flamengo Jovem and Raça. The two groups faced each other before and after the match in the stadium surroundings shortly before having their release formalized by the Public Prosecutor's Office following a new Conduct Adjustment Agreement, obtained through mediation by Flamengo itself.
After the new episode of fights, members of both fan groups met together with people from the club who helped in releasing the groups in the stadiums to smooth things over. The meeting sought to ease the conflicts between the organized groups.
Both the PM and the MP want the identification of the fighters through their CPF to avoid punishing the fan groups as a whole. The intention is to hold individually responsible those involved in the incidents, preventing the entire fan group from being penalized for the actions of some members.
