Around 60 municipalities from 10 districts of mainland Portugal are at maximum fire danger. This information was released by the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection.
The rural fire danger will remain very high in some regions at least until Sunday. The meteorological conditions contribute to the worsening of the risk.
Authorities recommend increased caution to the population, avoiding risky behaviors that may cause ignitions. The proximity of the critical fire period requires permanent vigilance.
