The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, determined on Monday that legal measures against the documentary "NAZA" and those involved in its production should be evaluated. The decision comes after the film provoked a wave of reactions from Israeli authorities.
In addition to evaluating legal actions, Zamir separately determined the opening of an investigation into the leak of classified information that was used in the production of the documentary.
The documentary "NAZA" accuses the Israeli army of using artificial intelligence to select targets in Gaza, causing the death of civilians and intercepting communications between Hamas members and their families. The work was met with a standing ovation in Venice.
In parallel, the Israeli Armed Forces requested access to the full documentary from directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, claiming they need to analyze the complete content to respond to the accusations based on evidence.
