Jornal O Almeirinense14 September 2026 at 18:01

Associação Desportiva Fazendense suffered a 1-2 defeat against Elvas Clube Alentejano de Desportos, in a fourth-round match of Series C of the Campeonato de Portugal. The match took place on Sunday, September 13, at the Complexo Desportivo Professor José Sousa Gomes, in Fazendas de Almeirim.

The visiting team opened the scoring in the 38th minute, through a penalty converted by Lucão. In the second half, Edi Lopes extended the lead to 0-2. In the final minutes, in the 89th minute, Ivanilson managed to pull one back for Fazendense, but there was no time for more, resulting in a 1-2 defeat.

This was the second defeat for the Fazendas de Almeirim side in the Campeonato de Portugal. With three games played, since the first-round match was postponed, the team coached by Zé Miguel Dias has only one point, resulting from one draw and two defeats.

The Charnecos, as the Fazendense team is known, return to the pitch on September 27th, to face Alverca B, in a postponed first-round match.

Why this matters

The fans and players of Fazendense face a difficult run in the competition, with only one point from three games and the team still searching for their first victory. The next game against Alverca B, scheduled for September 27th, becomes crucial to try to reverse the situation in the standings.
