The municipality of São José de Ubá, in Northwestern Fluminense, registers the highest percentage of motorcycles and motorized scooters in relation to the total vehicle fleet among the 92 municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In the city, these two-wheeled vehicles already represent 51.7% of all registered vehicles, surpassing the average of the Northeast Region, where motorcycles and motorized scooters correspond to 45.5% of the fleet.

Other municipalities in the same region also show high rates of motorcycles. Aperibé registers 50.8%, Cambuci 49.8%, and Bom Jesus do Itabapoana 49.3%. Eight of the ten cities in Fluminense with the highest participation of two-wheeled vehicles are located in the North and Northwest of the state.
