Braga will celebrate European Mobility Week between September 16 and 22 with a diverse set of initiatives aimed at all ages. The event aims to promote more sustainable forms of transport and raise awareness among the population about the importance of active mobility in daily life.
This year's edition has as its central theme "Intergenerational Equity", a choice that seeks to highlight the need to guarantee accessible and appropriate mobility conditions for people of different age groups. This focus reflects the concern with creating urban environments that equally serve children, young people, adults, and the elderly.
The scheduled activities aim to involve the entire Braga community, encouraging the adoption of more environmentally friendly modes of transport. The Municipality of Braga organizes this event within the European initiative that annually mobilizes cities across the continent to reflect on urban mobility patterns.
