Lince Hotels Group plans to invest 20 million euros in Hotel Turismo da Guarda

beira.pt14 September 2026 at 15:35

Turismo de Portugal today signed the lease contract for the Hotel Turismo da Guarda with Lince Hotels Group. The property has been closed since October 2010, the date when it ceased its hotel activity.

Lince Hotels Group plans to invest between 15 and 20 million euros in the requalification of the hotel. This investment is intended for the rehabilitation and modernization of the historic property's facilities.

The Hotel Turismo da Guarda is an establishment that has not been operating for more than a decade, so this contract represents the first step towards its reactivation as a hotel unit in the city of Guarda.

Why this matters

Residents of Guarda benefit from the reopening of a hotel that has been closed for more than a decade, which can boost tourism and the local economy. The significant investment of 15 to 20 million euros may create jobs in the region during the requalification works.
