Portuguese airports recorded an increase in the number of passengers, reaching 7.7 million in July. This number represents the total movement of passengers disembarked at the country's main airports during that month.
More than 80% of disembarked passengers corresponds to international traffic, which demonstrates the strong foreign demand for Portugal as a destination. Of the international passengers, 69% originated from Europe, highlighting geographic proximity as a determining factor in the choice of Portugal.
Lisbon Airport concentrates almost half of the total passengers handled in the country, reaffirming its central role as Portugal's main air hub. This data underlines the capital's relevance in national and international air connectivity.
