The Union of Trade Unions of Guarda (USG/CGTP-IN) called a rally for tomorrow, the 15th, at 5:00 PM, at the Hospital Nossa Senhora da Assunção, in Seia, in defense and for the reinforcement of the National Health Service. The protest action aims to bring together health workers and users from the Serra da Estrela region.
The initiative aims to give voice to the demands of the populations of the municipalities of Seia, Gouveia, Fornos de Algodres and Oliveira do Hospital, who depend directly on this hospital unit for access to public and quality healthcare.
According to the organizers, the mobilization arises in response to the urgent need to ensure unwavering defense and reinforcement of the NHS, contesting the loss of medical services and the shortage of human and material resources affecting healthcare provision in the region.
CGTP calls for the active participation of the entire community in the protest, emphasizing that the right to public healthcare close to home is fundamental for retaining and serving populations in the country's interior.
