The back-to-school period motivates a special GNR operation dedicated to raising awareness about car travel safety rules. The Guarda Nacional Republicana takes advantage of the start of the school year to reinforce enforcement and education of citizens about transporting children and passengers.
The operation was accompanied by the television team in Castro Daire, in the district of Viseu. This inland area of the country is one of the localities where the GNR carries out community outreach actions with families.
The main objective of the operation is to alert parents and guardians to the importance of complying with road safety rules, especially in the transport of children in vehicles. The GNR raises awareness among drivers about the correct use of seatbelts and appropriate car seats for each age.
