The minister of State Reform, Gonçalo Saraiva Matias, is among the first confirmed speakers for Fusion 2026, a conference organized by Devoteam that will take place on September 30 at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon. The event brings together business leaders, academics, policymakers and specialists to debate the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on organizations, the economy and society.
Gonçalo Saraiva Matias is expected to address topics related to governance, institutional modernization and the digital transformation of public administration in the context of growing adoption of AI-based technologies. The conference also features the participation of Luís Viegas Cardoso, responsible for the AI Gigafactory at Banco Português de Fomento, as well as representatives from Google Cloud, Trivalor, Sword Health and Mollie.
Among the confirmed participants are also Joana Pinto, partner at Antas da Cunha Ecija, who will speak about law, regulation and technological innovation, and philosopher António Castro Caeiro, who will debate contemporary cultural and social transformations.
The program also includes discussions on digital sovereignty, the relationship between human cognition and Artificial Intelligence, the evolution towards a technology-augmented workforce and Europe's role in the digital transformation process.
