Tondela Secondary School developed the EcoRain project, an intelligent rainwater management solution. The project was created within the scope of the Apps for Good program, which encourages students to develop technological applications to solve everyday problems.
EcoRain will be presented on display at Pavilhão do Conhecimento, a space dedicated to science and innovation in Lisbon. This exhibition allows selected projects to gain visibility among the public.
The project was distinguished as the North regional winner in the Electronics for All category of the national Apps for Good showcase. This category recognizes solutions that use electronic technology to solve real-life problems, covering areas such as sustainability and the environment.
The regional victory qualifies EcoRain for the national competition of Apps for Good, where it competes with projects from other regions of the country. Apps for Good is an educational program that promotes students' creativity and critical thinking through the development of applications.
