The JPP criticized today the Municipal Chamber of Calheta for carrying out what it classified as "piecemeal works". The political party denounced the state of degradation in which the ETAR of Paul do Mar finds itself, a wastewater treatment infrastructure.
This treatment station represented an initial investment of approximately 5 million euros. According to the JPP, two decades after its construction, the infrastructure is in a poor state of conservation.
The party considered that the ETAR is "the mirror of the lack of planning, maintenance and strategic vision on the part of successive executives of the Municipal Chamber of Calheta", holding the various municipal governments that succeeded each other responsible for the current situation of the infrastructure.
