A wildfire that started in Póvoa de Lanhoso has spread to the neighboring municipality of Vieira do Minho. The fire is affecting this area of the Braga district, representing a prolonged combat situation between municipalities.
On the ground there are 93 operatives supported by 26 ground vehicles. These ground resources are joined by seven aerial resources, which are being used for combat and support operations to suppress the flames.
The fire presents two active propagation fronts. One of these fronts has already been contained by the authorities, being under control, while the other remains active and demands significant efforts from the combat resources.
