Sporting again let a victory slip away, in what was already the 17th time this season that the team failed to maintain a lead until the end of the match. The encounter took place in Famalicão, with the home team at a numerical disadvantage during an important part of the second half.
Luis Suárez was the one responsible for scoring Sporting's goal in the 81st minute, through a penalty, putting the visiting team in the lead on the scoreboard.
However, the Famalicão team managed to equalize in stoppage time, in the 90+1 minute, through an own goal by Gonçalo Inácio, which set the final score at 1-1.
The home side finished the match reduced to ten men, which made the result even more punishing for Sporting, who saw another two points escape at a time when they are fighting for the title.
